Owner/Coach Will Savagian

USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach with completed USA Hockey coaching modules (U10, U12, U14, U16–U18). Will served as a Level Director at Elmbrook Youth Hockey (EYHA), overseeing Squirt and Peewee development.

He has extensive coaching experience across youth, high school, and adult hockey, including roles with EYHA, Milwaukee Tuskers, Milwaukee Power, Kettle Moraine High School, and the Novice Adult Co-Ed Hockey League (NACHL).

Will has coached at every major youth level (Squirt through 18U), including both A and B level teams, and continues to focus on player development, skill progression, and hockey IQ training. He also served as a USA Hockey Coach Developer and regularly attends coaching clinics and conferences to continue advancing his education in the game.

Current and recent coaching roles include:

• EYHA Bantam & Peewee programs

• Milwaukee Tuskers 14U, 16U, and 19U teams

• Kettle Moraine High School Hockey

• EYHA 18U and program development roles

•  Spring Hockey Director (Hound Dogs program)

His coaching philosophy centers on player development, structured teaching, and helping athletes understand the game at a higher level.

Assistant Coach Will Darling 

USA Hockey Level 3 Certified Coach

Played high school hockey at the University of Milwaukee, serving as a defenseman and earning 1992 State Champion honors along with First Team All-Conference recognition. He also played at Phillips Academy (Andover).

Coaching experience includes:

• Milwaukee Winter Club (MWC) Squirts (2021–2023)

• Milwaukee Winter Club Pee Wees (2023–2024)

His background combines high-level playing experience with youth development coaching focused on skill growth, hockey IQ, and player confidence.

Coach Matt Shapiro 

USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach

Played Tier 1 hockey with the Milwaukee Jr. Admirals and Madison Capitols. He also played high school hockey for the Brookfield Stars, earning First Team All-Conference honors, Honorable Mention All-State recognition, and team MVP, along with multiple other accomplishments. Additional playing experience includes Hebron Academy (Maine).

Coaching experience includes over 10 years with the Brookfield Stars High School program, including multiple seasons at the JV level.

Also served as a USA Hockey Coach Developer and regularly attends coaching clinics and conferences to continue advancing his education in the game.

Youth coaching and leadership roles include:

• EYHA Squirt B (2019–2020)

• EYHA Bantam A and U6 (2022–2023)

• USA Hockey Coach Developer (2023–2024)

• EYHA Hockey Director (2022, 2024)

His coaching focuses on player development, structure, and building strong hockey IQ at every level.

Assistant Coach Matt Schuppener

USA Hockey Level 1 Certified Coach

Played high school hockey in Tomah, Wisconsin.

Actively plays in several adult hockey leagues throughout Southeastern Wisconsin.

Assistant Coach Josh Thomas

USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach

Played high school hockey in Chicago, Illinois.

Brings several years of coaching experience with Elmbrook Youth Hockey Association (EYHA), working across all levels from 6U (Mites) through 18U, including Fall Midget and JV programs. Has also coached both co-ed and girls’ teams within the EYHA program.

In addition to coaching, has played in men’s league hockey for over 10 years, maintaining an active connection to the game and its development at the adult level.

Assistant Coach Joe Cronin

USA Hockey Level 2 Certified Coach

Played hockey from youth through junior levels, developing a strong foundation in the game.

Coaching experience includes EYHA Squirt Girls programs, focusing on skill development, fundamentals, and confidence-building at the youth level.

Also an active player in men’s league hockey.

Goalie Coach Jen DeGeorge 

USA Hockey Level 1 Certified Coach

Played goaltender at the AAA level with the Wisconsin Wild and competed collegiately at Concordia University, where she played four years in goal.

Brings extensive coaching experience as a goaltending coach at the University School of Milwaukee (girls program), serving in that role for seven years. She currently serves as the Director of Goaltending at Elmbrook Youth Hockey Association (EYHA).

Playing & Coaching Achievements:

• High School: Kettle Moraine / Glacier team captain

• Team MVP

• Hobey Baker Award recipient

• Miss Wisconsin Hockey nominee

• College: 2× NCHA Defensive Player of the Week

• Concordia University Student-Athlete of the Week

Goalie Coach Jacob baxter

Former Goalie Director at Elmbrook Youth Hockey Association (EYHA) for two years.

Currently coaching with the Brookfield Glacier High School team, where he has served for the past four years.

Goalie Coach Jason Cooke

Played youth hockey for Shaw as a goaltender.

Played high school hockey for Muskego Ice Force as a goalie.

Competed at the junior hockey level with the USPHL Rum River Mallards and the NA3HL Oregon Tradesmen.

From 2021–2024, served as a goalie coach for the Ice Force varsity and junior varsity programs.

Also works as a goalie instructor for the Honey Badgers spring hockey teams.
